The story is told that Jesse had been plotting his proposal for quite some time! However, I was completely in shock when he began to get down on one knee and I didn't think that he was ready to "take the plunge." He asked me numerous times if I would love him forever and I thought that was such a silly question because of course I will love him forever no matter what. He is truly my better half!

The propsoal is actually quite funny and a "typical Jesse and Jenni" story because of the humor and eloquence of it all! He had dropped the ring at first (as I am already balling my eyes out) and I was at a loss for words and couldn't even see the ring while it was under the bed. I'm crying and now laughing at the same time. He actually began the propsal again and I mustered out the word "YES!" Through the blubbering, I said "I didn't know you loved me this much." I have known for quite some time that I wanted to spend my life with this man, but didn't know that he felt the same way and was willing to prove it is such a "legal" manner. 

Jesse then told me the history of the ring and that it belonged to his grandmother, Marilyn. This in fact made me cry even harder and then I truly was no good. I absolutely adore Jesse's family and it means a great deal to me that they are accepting me in as one of their own. The ring it just a symbol of the love and support this family has. I am truly blessed to have such a wonderful soon to be mother-in-law.
