We had talked a bit about getting married but the proposal was a total surprise to me! I asked Jay if we could do a getaway vacation to escape from work and school and we eventually decided to go to this great resort called Xcaret in Mexico. On our first full day there we walked the resort in the morning then went back to the room to change and go check out some of the parks nearby. As I'm getting rushing to get things ready I hear Jay say from behind "You're going to make this difficult." I turn around and to ask what am I making difficult and he pulls out a ring box. I'm completely shocked as he gets down on one knee and proposes. It was beautiful and perfect with just the two of us.
