After chatting on the interwebs for a month or so, they finally set up a date and met at Trali at Brier Creek. What was supposed to just be a conversation over a beer turned into drinks and a movie. After the date Andrea tried to cut Chris loose, and who can blame her after staring longingly at Jason Statham for an hour and a half. Unfortunately for her, he knows a good thing when he sees one and he wasn't about to let her get away quite so easily. A few days later they went to the Eno for a hike and got well and thoroughly lost for several hours. That's when the stockholm syndrome set in apparently, because they've been inseperable ever since. Well...except for that week long vacation she took with her family 2 weeks after they met during which she still managed to stay in contact with him.

Many movies and a couple of vacations later they found themselves in Sunny California on Pfeiffer Beach, where Andrea was quickly distracted by the pink and purple sand. Seizing the opportunity, Chris dropped to his knee and pretended to show her a handful of the stuff, mentioning how much it sparkles. Much to her (probably feigned) surprise, it was actually a ring. In the moment, Chris forgot to ask her to marry him, but she had the good grace to accept anyway.
