The proposal happened at the most romantic place on earth, The Tulsa State Fair. On October 4th, 2015, Tanner and Amanda were getting their annual caricature picture drawn, when the artist turned the paper around to display his masterpiece, it read, "Will you marry me?" on the top of the page. Amanda was shocked when she finally realized what was happening. Tanner was down on one knee, her mom standing amongst strangers with phone's out recording the ordeal, she eventually managed to blurt out a "yes" along with her uncontrollable sobs. Prior to this wonderful moment, Tanner had the daunting task of convincing Amanda to continue waiting in line for their turn which took 2 hours. And because Amanda is the most patient person on earth (yeah, right) she did so with only 100 complaints. The occasion was celebrated promptly with funnel cakes and corndogs.
