Our Story
Catherine Bernardo and Michael Sass met in September 2007 at a Hell's Angels and
Policemen's Bonfire party. We really did not fit in at all in this party. After all there were 500 people outside really living it up. Once we met we really hit it off immediately and going to this particular party was good change of pace. We were both getting tired of the bars and club scene. We sat by the bonfire and talked as if we had known each other for a long time. Michael was smitten by Catherine that when it was time to leave he didn't want the night to end. Michael said goodbye to his friend that he originally came there with . He said goodbye to his friend right when his buddy had to use the port a potty. He did this just so he could sneak out and hang out some more with Catherine and 2 of her girlfriends- Kate and Laura. lol !!! We all decided to continue partying and go out dancing at the Holiday Inn in Rockside just to meet up another girlfriend- Dawn, Cat's maid of honor. Even though he was the only guy, we all agreed that he was a true gentleman and got my friends approval. This was an awesome night and we all had such a blast. It will be a night Catherine and Michael will never forget. It is all history from there...
Catherine and Michael have spent every day together and have never been apart since the day they first met... Must be love at first sight !
Their first date was at the Marblehead Lighthouse that is why this Lighthouse is so very significant to both of them.
Our Wedding
We will be tying the knot on September 4th, 2010 at St. Mary's Byzantine Church (gazebo) directly across the Marblehead Lighthouse.
Our Reception
Wedding Reception will be at St. Mary's Byzantine Reception Hall. The DJ will be James Berdin so get your dancing shoes ready. Jinky Lim from Lim Photography will be taking pictures throughout the wedding. Party supplies will be provided by Event Source.
Travel Arrangements
Our Honeymoon will start Monday Sept 6th and we will be flying off to Fort Lauderdale and staying at a resort in Pompano Beach. Then on September 11th we will be goin on an 8 day Carnival Cruise. We will be on the Carnival Freedom and headed to San Juan, Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, Antigua, Tortolla, and Naussau, Bahamas.
