How we met: Well, our story begins on February 19, 2005 in a C-141 over the Atlantic Ocean going from Ramstein, Germany to Andrews AFB, Maryland. Doug was a "27" year old AC and I was a 21 year old med tech. I will get to the good stuff, since there is only so much space allotted on this page... We ended up taking burn patients to San Antonio and stayed at the Hyatt Hill Country where Doug bought the whole crew beer and we got to hang out (Ironically we live in San Antonio now). So a month and a half goes by... and one night I learn the he was really 32. But, we get along great, end up traveling around Europe and continue to see each other after the deployment. So, that was 3+ years ago and here we are, getting married! I don't think it could have possibly worked out better!!!
The proposal: I may be partial, but I believe this is a proposal for the books! It was our second day scuba diving in Pensacola and Doug was getting low on air, so we decided to go for one last dive. Upon reaching the bottom of the ocean, Doug gets down on one knee and holds out a sign that says, "Will you marry me?!?!". He then proceeds to place a ring (which was attached to the car keys- to help prevent from dropping it) on my finger. I had no idea he was planning this and was taken completely by surprise! It was the perfect proposal!

We will be married on the Carnival Conquest in Galveston, Texas on May 10, 2009. Please be at the ship, ready to board at 1030 for the wedding. The cruise departs at 1600. We will post more information as soon as we know :)

Contact your local ITT office, or you can call Ron Boucher at Lackland Information Tickets and Travel at 210-671-7111 and tell him you are part of the Hayes-Davis wedding. We are staying on the Lido deck in room #9261.

We are SO excited to share this day with everyone and can't wait to see you all!!!
