We took a family trip to Gatlinburg Tennessee after Christmas in December 2015 with my family. On December 29th, 2015 we did a 14 mile hike round trip of Mount LeConte. On the way down the mountain, Thayne wanted to take some photos by Rainbow Falls (half way down the mountain, 100 foot waterfall). I wasn't too happy because we had already taken pictures here, hiked around 10 miles at this point, and I wanted to get back to the trailhead. Thayne helped me climb up on some of the rocks and my dad took a couple photos of us. As I was starting to climb down the rock, Thayne grabbed my hand and said "Hold on, I didn't climb all the way up the mountain and back down for nothing." He got down on one knee and pulled the ring out of his pocket. As he was asking me to marry him, I was crying and covered my face because I couldn't believe he was proposing. I nodded my head yes because I couldn't speak and he slid the ring on my finger. He stood up, gave me a hug and kiss as he was tearing up in excitement. I couldn't ask for a better proposal because my family and friends were there to witness it.
