Kennedy in June, 1962, Buck Island sits off St. Croix's North Coast and consists of approximately 40,000 acres of sea and land. Its’ main beauty lies in the fantastic reefs and a unique underwater trail.rnrnTour will depart from the Frederiksted for a 45 minutes scenic non guided drive across the island to Christiansted. Enjoy a relaxing 40 minutes powerboat ride touring the North Shore of St Croix on their way to Buck Island Reef where you will enjoy 1 hour of snorkeling time at the Marine Garden.All snorkeling gear, flotation devices and lessons are included in this underwater adventure, with guided touring as well as free exploration time. Your adventure will begin with a brief transfer and a ferry boat ride over to De Palm Island. After receiving your instructions and safety briefing, it’s time for your Seatrek experience. Experience three exciting activities while discovering the Rainforest, the Aerial Tram, zip-line canopy and hike tour through the tropical coastal rain forest. The tour begins with a gondola ride into the thick of the Caribbean Oceanic forest past ancient trees, persistent vines and animated birdlife, suspended above the forest canopy with commanding views of the island, the gondola deliver thrill seekers to the base station. Disembark for a short walk through a peaceful part of the forest, and then scramble across the ravine below on a suspension bridge that delivers you to your first platform. Then get hitched up to a series of cables and zip from platform to platform high up in the tree canopy. Go out on a limb and take the leap onto the rope web below or swing like Tarzan. If your adrenaline isn’t flowing then, a brisk hike to the next set of platforms will juice things up a bit before your guides hook you onto the line with descenders so you can rappel safely or with a thrill to the ground and continue to your next platform, passing very close to coconut trees on your descent to Base Station.
