Ride an off-road bicycle through a Mayan jungle trail to reach some of the most spectacular natural wells, cenotes of the region where you snorkel in transparent waters which are actually underground rivers running through cave-like formations. Mayans consider them sacred places. Before entering the first cenote a genuine Mayan Shaman will conduct a brief purification ceremony asking permission to use these sacred marvels. You snorkel and marvel in the underwater world of the cave with its stalactites and stalagmites. The marine life in these underground rivers is rare, but unusual, sometimes having no eyes! Ride to the second cenote for another exploration. You will have about 40 minutes in each cave. Bike back to the base station where a Mayan Lunch await your appetite. Then return to the ship.
